The Oregon Slope

Located in Malheur County, Oregon, in the South Slope area north of Ontario and south of Weiser, Idaho, the community offers convenient access to the Treasure Valley. Ontario serves as a major hub for Eastern Oregon and is located directly across the state line from Fruitland, Idaho.

The area is well known for its strong agricultural heritage, including both farming and ranching. Ontario is also home to Treasure Valley Community College, providing educational opportunities and services to the surrounding region. Outdoor recreation is readily accessible, with the Snake River and nearby BLM-managed lands offering opportunities for hunting, fishing, hiking, and other recreational activities.

The farm consists primarily of prime class 1 soils, providing excellent conditions for producing a wide variety of row crops. The fertile 77.58± acres are leveled across several terraces, creating multiple productive fields. Approximately 65± acres are irrigated and currently watered through a combination of concrete ditch, siphon tubes, and gated pipe (the siphon tubes are not included in the sale).

Irrigation water is supplied through the Owyhee Irrigation District and includes approximately 65± acres of associated water rights. For more than 70 years, the farm has achieved consistent financial success while producing exceptional yields and high-quality row crops, including onions, sugar beets, and potatoes, across multiple generations.  In recent years, the farmland has been leased to local operators; it will be available for the 2027 crop season.

The Home and The Shops
