Ironside Locale

Located in Malheur County near the unincorporated town of Ironside, Oregon with excellent access directly onto State Highway 26, known as the John Day Highway; this area is recognized for its cattle ranches and hunting. It is only 30 minutes from Unity, less than an hour from Vale, Oregon, and just over two hours from Boise, Idaho. The area offers views of several peaks, including Ironside Mountain, Cow Valley Butte, and Juniper Mountain. While mostly comprised of rolling sagebrush hills with a scattering of juniper trees, the region offers hidden gems, including lots of springs, meadows, and draws hiding rock outcroppings, creeks, and brush, all in an ecosystem where elk, deer, bear, and upland game birds, thrive.

Untamed Horizons

Consisting of three contiguous parcels that feature direct access off the highway, not to mention power, Fiber Optic cable, and phone connections. This  valuable ecosystems sustains growth of native grasses among the sagebrush, and in turn creates an excellent location for cattle and resident wildlife. The gentle rolling grazing land has several seasonal waterways and springs, all are within the Lost Valley Creek’s watershed. The springs supply ample water for cattle, with stock water tanks scattered around. Not to mention the wildlife are drawn in, making the hunting some of the best in  the area.  On the north side of the property, many years ago, there was an old homestead, which left a domestic well (condition unknown).

Outdoor Galore

The property is a playground for hunters and recreationists.  Found within Oregon Fish & Wildlife Beulah (65) Hunt Unit. There are 2 antlered Land Owner Preference tags  are available for each parcel (verify with OF&W as tag quantities can vary). In recent years, the seller has harvested 19 elk of 6 points or more from his property (seller owns additional land). There are also Mule deer, and bear. In addition to the big game hunting, there are several species of upland game birds; chuckar, sage hen and sage grouse. Whether you are a hunter or simply enjoy wildlife, this ranch provides a rich habitat for both. Horseback riding, ATVs, and hiking are also possible on your property.
