Location:

Approximately 30 miles southeast of Burley, Idaho, in Cassia County. The land is between the communities of Malta and Elba, in the valley below Pomerelle Ski Area, celebrated for its abundant powder. With a 20± minute drive to the ski lift, it’s perfectly situated for winter sports enthusiasts. To the southwest are Castle Rocks State Park and City of Rocks National Reserve. Boasting striking geologic formations and stunning scenery, these destinations are renowned for rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Additionally, the historic landmark was a critical stop on the 1800s California Trail.

Acreage & Water: 

The 76.95± acres consist of irrigated meadows and pastureland. Cassia Creek meanders through the length of the property, about 1/2 mile. Positioned along South Elba-Almo Road, the land is bordered to the south by public lands managed by the BLM.

The property features perimeter fencing and has been used for grazing cattle, with the seller estimating capacity at 10–15 head per season under proper irrigation. The northeast portion is cultivable and includes irrigation water rights from the creek. Delivered by pump and main line, water is typically available through early July.

Natural sub-irrigation enhances the southern areas, which also benefit from creek-fed irrigation controlled by a head gate and applied by gravity flow. Irrigation for this part of the ranch typically extends through early August, depending on winter precipitation.
