• BLM Mackay Allotment provides for 205 cattle from May 6th through July 4th. Includes unfenced state and private lands.

• US Forest Service Lower Cedar Allotment provides for 40 pair from May 1st through June 30th.

Within Idaho Fish & Game Hunt Unit 50 which has licenses and tags available for big game, upland birds and fishing.

Loop Road Fields

Irrigated field details:

• 8 Tower 100% circle pivot planted in barley then grazed

• 2 Tower ½ circle pivot planted in grass                                

• 7 Tower 100% circle pivot planted in grass then grazed

• 4 Tower 1/4 circle pivot planted in grass

• 3 Tower 60% circle pivot planted in alfalfa

• 6 Tower 100% circle pivot planted in Timothy hay and hay grass mix

• 3 Tower 100% circle pivot planted in alfalfa

A large pond fed from the Lower Cedar Creek water includes two booster pumps, a 20HP and 5HP, to ensure full coverage.

An access easement comes off Loop Road on this section of the ranch and there is a set of holding pens. All planting and field coverage information reflect the 2023 growing season.  Additional documents on fields, irrigation and water rights can be provided upon request.

Recreation

This part of Custer County lies within the Challis-Salmon National Forest and features Mt. Borah, the Mackay Reservoir, the most ATV trails in the state, world class ice and fly fishing, rock climbing and hounding.  Not to mention some of the best large game hunting especially for moose, pronghorn and elk.
