Location:

Located in Dixie, Idaho the property lays within the Nez Perce National Forest, which is part of the Frank Church Wilderness of No Return. Dixie was originally founded in 1862 by miners who found gold along Crooked Creek. It became an important gateway to the mines.  As well as a short cut to Campbell’s Ferry along the Salmon River. Although the town may only have a dozen year-round residents, it plays host to many tourists looking to enjoy the wilderness. Just across the road, is a small airstrip used by backcountry air charters. The land is 38 miles southeast of Elk City. Take the scenic route via the road along the Clearwater River and then into the mountains. Or take a chartered plane from Missoula, Lewiston or McCall and enjoy the aerial view.

Motel – 4 units each are 322 square feet with a separate bedroom and a second bed in the main room, therefore can accommodate 4 people per unit. Recreation:

Naturally, the area attracts people looking to experience remote wilderness. Equally important, it is known for for big game hunting. As a result, outfitting guides services are common. True back country backpacking, horseback riding and hiking are popular area activities. Not to mention, taking ATV’s on trail rides in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. Avid outdoor people come year after year, because there is a lot to do and see in the mountains in and around Dixie, Idaho.
